Breach

Okay, so I said I was going to review a Minecraft adventure map, but please! You guys gave me very little (cough no ideas cough) but I would not have gotten around to it because I have been playing Breach a lot. Breach is an Xbox Arcade game (well, at least for me) that at first glance looks like a normal shooter. Same guns, same graphics as Call of Duty MW2, and same people you have to shoot. However, the differences are amazing.

First, the gametypes are more fun, for example a gametype called convoy has one team escorting the convoy while another attacks it. Also Breach has about 4 maps but these maps are very large and fun to play. Most importantly, the game uses active damage. This means THAT THE ENVIROMENT REACTS TO BULLETS. There is nothing more epic than that. I like this most because it adds a layer of chaos to the game. Other modern shooters, like Call of Duty Black Ops have little actual chaos; sure grenades explode but it feels more like you're playing with airsoft guns instead of real bullets. Let me give you an example, at one point I had a sniperand was running to a building on a cliff. About halfway there a rpg shot at it and blew the whole front up.

All right here are some problems. First, this game has the issue of lag. When the company relies on the host, you get lots of lag outs. Also the game has unfair leveling systems, ex. 5xp for on kill, 2000xp to get to the next gun IN THAT CLASS. The game also has no singleplayer mode.

FINAL THOUGHT- I had a fun time with Breach but this game may not be for eveyone. Try getting your hands on a demo to see how you like it. But it is really curbing my wait for Bodycount!

System- Xbox, PC, PS3
